2022 Build Season Day 17 (2/3/2022)

Chains

The chain problem has finally been resolved! Because the chain for the wheels was too long it would have a lot of slack, if we were to shorten the chain anymore then the chain would be too tight. After a few days we were able to find a sprocket that would fit perfectly so the chains can finally work the motorized wheels properly

Climber

Our Climber is powered by a piston using pneumatics and the hook itself is made out of fiberglass, there will be a shaft and a bearing in the middle of the scissor-like contraption to make the “scissors” hold onto the game bars.  Members conducted multiple strength tests, the fiberglass on the climber hook will be able to handle the weight of the robot.
