2025 – Lefty
In our 2025 season, we dove into Reefscape with our robot Lefty! Named after its unique method of placing coral out through, you guessed it, the left! We ended up redesigning the scoring mechanism, giving it the loving nickname “Wonky.” Lefty was the first robot built with our goal of a space-grade robot; it was NASA or nothing! This earned us a Quality Award and a blue ribbon at our state fair!

2024 – Cronus
Our 2024 season was a Crescendo of anticipation! We changed the tune of our programming this season, switching over to Rust. The language has yet to become mainstream in FRC, leaving us to figure out a lot as we go along, but we’re sticking with it! Learning from past seasons, we aimed to do fewer things better, prioritizing quality and practice, a decision that served us well!

2023 – Andromeda
We were Charged Up going into our 2023 season! Our major goal this season was to pick up tipped cones, giving us more opportunities to score. However, this potential advantage ended up becoming much more challenging than anticipated, guiding our take on design for future seasons. Andromeda was also our first swerve bot!

2022 – Cerberus
We had to Rapidly React to many challenges this season! A highlight of our head mentor’s experience this season was Cerberus’s turret falling off; luckily, we got it competition-ready before it was too late! In addition to crushing the competition, Cerberus also showed off some cool tricks, such as shooting baskets into our hoop!

2021 – Orion
Infinite Recharge was charged once again for 2021! Due to lockdown restrictions, this season was quite different from any other. FIRST offered many ways to stay engaged without having any in-person competitions. We did Infinite Recharge at home with our 2020 bot. This allowed us to continue to work on and modify its design, making it the best it could be! We don’t have any videos, but you can read our blog about the season here!

2020 – Orion
Our team’s energy was Infinitely Recharged this season! With our indexer nicknamed “Lemon Squeezer,” we were able to help the power cells (balls/”lemons”) through the robot to get ready to score. This wouldn’t be the last of Orion. After the season was suspended early, Infinite Recharge at home was announced, and it made its return.

2019 – Major Tom
This season filled a Deep Space in our hearts. Despite Major Tom’s tendency to connect with ground control (tipping), we had a pretty out-of-this-world season! We had to do some quick thinking with this bot, designing our entire over-the-bumper intake in a week between comps!

2018 – Daedalus
We had to Power Up to succeed this season! With a butterfly arms buddy climb, we rose to the occasion, crushing it at the game! Keeping in theme with the wings, Daedalus was named for the Greek myth! Our improved technique with auto allowed Daedalus to reach new heights!

2017 – Voyager
We relied on more than Steamworks this season, using more modern tech than ever on Voyager! This season, we used vision on our robot, changing up our strategy and helping us score! We advanced to Worlds through the Engineering Inspiration award!

2016 – Midnight
This season had our team in a Stronghold. Midnight is still around as a bot, deemed “chairbot” by the team, a fun kart for our members. Midnight won Engineering Inspiration at both of our regionals!

2015 – Hugbot + Friends
This season had us in a Recycle Rush between our competitions. Our first comp showed us that we still had some work to do, and thankfully, we had some time to iterate and improve! Hugbot wasn’t alone in Recycle Rushing; we named its ramp “and friends!”

2014 – Spacer
We didn’t get much Aerial Assistance from our friend Minnesotan weather this season. There were many snow days, keeping us out of our room and putting us behind schedule. However, if there’s one thing our team does best, it’s adapting to challenges. Our team tried something new with Spacer, a CNC frame, which served us well. Even with new obstacles, we were able to advance to Worlds!

2013 – Disc-o
Disc-o was part of our Ultimate Ascent to robot greatness, as our first robot to go to Worlds! After taking us there, Disc-o has stuck around as a beloved demo bot for our team!
