A Year of Change: Goodbye to Reefscape

It’s Not Always Smooth Sailing

Nothing in life is easy all the time and FRC is no exception. This season highlighted some areas we needed to improve within our team, and even though we faced many challenges we were able to come out stronger than before.

A prominent issue amongst our teammates was burnout. We saw a rise in it this season and knew it was something we needed to prevent in the future. More and more efforts have been put in place within our team to provide our teammates with the resources they need. Whether it’s through our yearly NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) presentations, countless actions to improve team culture, or ensuring everyone is checked up on and supported keeping our team a healthy, happy environment is a priority. Despite the challenges we’ve faced our team is stronger than ever, armed with this newfound experience in navigating difficult situations we are prepared for anything life may throw at us.

Growing and Glowing

We had many new changes to our team with the goal of increasing sustainability and team performance. As a result of these changes, we’ve seen a massive increase in our team building and other events. On the robot side, we’ve seen an incredible improvement in build quality and attention to detail. Our mission was to make a space-grade robot, guided by the slogan of Nasa of Nothing we pulled that off! This season was filled with lots of learning, laughs, and love from our team. Thank you to every parent, mentor, sponsor, and teammate who made this season great! Even with our season ending we’re far from done, keep a look out for our summer/offseason events here!
