Team Whimsy
Electrical Establishment – Monday
Having your robot’s battery not blow up is fun. Using the combination of a Dremel and a metal file, we created the perfect nest for our battery. We hope it likes this spot, because it isn’t going anywhere else. There’s still some work to be done to refine this battery-cocoon, but it’s a good start.
Some other tidbits of electrical management occurred as well, such as the addition of a breaker switch to our robot.
We also had a nice media meeting, which went over ongoing projects for the subteam. Some examples are the redesign of Talon’s posterboard and a camera training coming up in December.
In conclusion, progress was made today. Mostly in electrical management, which was pleasant.
We hope to make more headway on Wednesday.

Two Steps Back, One Step Forward – Wednesday
Alas, a dreaded step in the design process has struck us: redesign. “What needs to be redesigned?” you may ask. An integral part of our scoring system, the ramp, was a little too wonky for its intended use. Its creation was innovative, but lacking in precision.
Therefore, we enlisted the assistance of one of Whimsy’s team members to 3D print a replacement.
We’ll have to wait until Saturday to install it, so fingers crossed. To conclude, nothing out of the ordinary happened today. Each failure we experience is par for the course. Hopefully, we can have more success this weekend.

Team Purple
Monday
Hello everybody, my name is MarkiPurple and welcome back to Team Purple 2: electric boogalo.
Today (Monday November 17) the team worked on putting on the bottom intake polycarb + 3dp (questionable but functioning,) we attached the intake roller assembly, CNCed + assembled funnel- which we still need to attach to the robot. We also 3d printed the shooter ramp.
We had a media meeting today as well, which was a blast as usual.
Here’s the build so far!

Wednesday
Everyone buckle up, today marks 2 weeks and 3 days until Minnetrials and we ✨haven’t even started coding! ✨
Shoutout to everyone making progress on the build!
The robot is basically done except for this to-do list, straight from the horses mouth (apparently this is a real saying)
To Do list:
- Mount funnel
- Mount shooter
- Electrical
- Tennis ball impact proof everything
- Code
- Make work
So effectively, we are done with the build besides some touch ups and final testing, and now just need to actually put everything together. Go team!
We also had a inclusivity meeting, big things coming trust.
Here’s a completely unrelated aside from yours truly: who gave the best presentation at the team builder?
Here is a completely accurate and not at all biased tier list of the presentations given that thursday:

We all did great! All of the presentations were peak!
