Robots & Rotini | Our Pasta Fundraiser

What is Robots & Rotini?

Robots and Rotini offers a chance to connect and support our team. This event took place in the EPHS south commons on November 9th from 5:00 to 7:00. Robots & Rotini is our biggest fundraiser of the year. During this Robots & Rotini, we serve a rotini dinner with desserts while showcasing FRC and FTC robots. This event is really important because it gives us a chance to show off what we’ve been working on while helping pay for travel and material costs that come up for that year.

Before we continue talking about the event, I want to thank all the companies that helped make this year’s event so great, including the many that donated desserts: Kowalskis Market, Crumble Cookies, Cub Foods, Caribou Coffee, Lunds & Byerlys, Bo Diddleys, and Dunkin Donuts. All the companies and members of the team that donated to our silent auction. And everyone who came to support the day of the event, whether you were there volunteering in the kitchen or were just enjoying a rotini dinner, thank you all for making this year’s event so great.

What Was at the Event?

There were many different activities this year, including a crafts area, a silent auction, an FLL LEGO area, and demonstrations of multiple robots. The main robot that was shown off this year was Lefty, our 2025 season robot, which was made for the Reefscape game last January. Lefty was made to score PVC pipes called coral onto a structure called the reef. If you want to see it in action, you can visit the Robot History page of the website to learn more. Something new to Robots & Rotini this year was a partnership with Bach to Rock, which provided music at the event, which really added to the event.

See You Again Next Year!

This year, Robots & Rotini was very successful, having around 300 attendees and auctioning off around 50 different baskets and items at the silent auction. This will go a long way toward supporting the team this year. Thanks again to all who were there at the event and to those who made it all possible. If you were at the event, we hope that you had a great time, and if you couldn’t make it, we hope to see you there next year!

Thank you to everyone who donated desserts!
