Offseason Competitions
Before our official season starts, we have offseason competitions! These competitions run last year’s game, Reefscape, in a less competitive environment to give teams a chance to train new drivers, get new members used to competition, and have fun before things get competitive. MRI
Last weekend, we had our first offseason tournament, MRI. Overall, we ranked 16th, out of 30, during the playoffs, and unfortunately, we did not get selected for the playoffs. Since this was our first offseason tournament, it was also the first time we had our new drive team in a competition. They did really well, with Brooke-lynn as our driver, Ally as the drive coach, Naren and Will being human players, and Jamie as the technician.
Practice and Fun!
We had a big learning experience with our new drive team, and overall prepared them for the next day, which was RISE, and also prepared them for Minne Mini, another offseason tournament coming up. We didn’t have too many issues with the robot, and it performed well so that was a win for us. Overall this tournament was a good learning experience for us, and it helped us make improvements for RISE and the following tournaments.
