STEM Day – Viki P
Kicking off the summer, Talon hosted a STEM open house for their community to learn about all the programs we have to offer! For our elementary students, we had two FIRST Lego League teams show off their robots from the past season in addition to an independent lego area for kids to play around with. While the sets were older, it opened up eyes to taking the next step in lego robots and programming them to come alive!
Nearby, FTC and FRC set up their field and robots to bring excitement to future creative thinkers. Shooting notes out of our demo bot, Cronus, and walking kids through the 2024-2025 season bot Lefty, our open house brought lots of activity and smiles to South Commons. Team members answered questions from curious parents and we were able to spread the word about our upcoming Girls Who Code program! Just in time for FTC registration coming up and with FLL registration already open, the event went great!
