HAPPY HALLOWEEN ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ!!!

Saturday (10/12)

Harvest to Halloween

We attended and demoed at Harvest to Halloween on Saturday, October 12th. Harvest to Halloween is a city of Eden Prairie event where people of all ages gather to celebrate Halloween at Riley Lake Park. There were many children so we had many opportunities to connect with and inspire kids. We had our 2023-24 robot, Cronus running and launching rings for the kids to catch. We also gave out lots of Talon merchandise such as stickers, bracelets, and robot trading cards. Returning and new team members were allowed to drive and operate the robot. Cronus ran the whole time with only minor inconveniences that we could easily fix at the event.ย

We had 9 volunteers who could transport the robot by car, set up, and take down the demo area in the main pavilion. We were able to transport and upkeep the robot successfully even with the spotty rain and cold weather at the beginning of the event. The event started at 12 and we had the robot running till the end at 5. When the robot wasn’t driving we were able to demonstrate how it works, how it was built, and the engineering aspects of the program to the kids. We got to introduce lots of the kids to the wonders of robotics, STEM, and our other programs such as FTC and FLL.

Overall, the event went well. We had fun demoing and meeting everyone at the Harvest to Halloween, and hope to see everyone again next year!

Have the spookiest, sweetest Halloween!
