Jr. FLL in Eden Prairie
Eden Prairie’s Jr First Lego League (Jr. FLL) program is for students ages 6 to 9. This program is a great start to the FIRST programs and encompasses hands on activities that are provided for adult coaches. Teams are usually small and meet on their own schedule. The team will then participate in an “Expo” where they can show off their work.
FLL in Eden Prairie
Eden Prairie’s First Lego League (FLL) is for students entering 4th-6th grade in the Fall of 2019. FIRST programs were developed to inspire young people to become science and technology leaders, by engaging them in mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills. Are you ready to challenge your mind and compete head-to-head with robots? Then check out the FIRST Lego League!
First Lego League is available for all students in Eden Prairie. Parents have two options available.
Eden Prairie Community Education Registration
Parents may choose to register through EP Community Education. Teams will be formed if a coach is available. All meetings and practices will be held in a district building (either our Education Center or one of the elementary buildings), as opposed to the houses of team coaches. Registrations will be taken now and teams will be formed.
FIRST Registration – Independent teams
Parents may choose to form their own teams and register through FIRST independently. Teams would then be free to host meetings at a home or local community building (library). More information about forming your own team can be found using the links below. Talon Robotics has a number of resources available to independent teams and would love to answer questions. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are considering this option.
You will find lots of information regarding the FIRST Robotics program online! Check out some of the sites below to find great information and resources for parents and coaches.
